The Silent Survival Signals
http://www.kidnap.org
We need your support. The silent survival signals program is an important program for children and adults to learn family safety. The possibility of a child disappearing haunts parents every 37 seconds! We have published a new scenario (published in English and Spanish) illustrating how the Silent Survival Signals program is executed in "4-Steps from Victim to Recovery" to summon HELP when involved in any personal crime, when a person can't run or shout. We are asking people in every community in America to HELP! The program is being introduced to all Florida schools, churches, sheriff, police, hospitals, clerks of circuit courts, and other organizations. Please join us in educating our community by making a small donation and/or volunteering.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters
Big Brothers and Big Sisters is a nonprofit agency which has been serving the children of Hernando County for the past three years. Children ages 5-12 from single parent households are matched with adult volunteers from the community who have been carefully screened by our agency. The one on one relationship which develops provides the child with an adult role model as well as support and encouragement. The goals of our program are to raise self-esteem, prevent delinquency and children become productive members of society. We have many boys on our waiting list who eagerly await a Big Brother. These boys need a role model and companionship. If you would like to help[, please call and us how to become a "Big Pal". We need you, the children need you, so please contact us at 597-5656 and ask for Gina or Linda. Thank you for your help.
