Bikes on THE Bus
line

THE Bus provides bike racks on it's buses.  Anyone who plans to travel on THE Bus with  their  bike must first obtain a Bike Permit ( call 754-4444 for more information).

The bike racks, have a two bike capacity, and are located on the front of the bus. Riders are responsible for properly loading and unloading their bicycle, and do so at their own risk.

  • Safety First. When you are loading/unloading your bike, never step to the street side of the bus.
  • Due to weight and space limitations on the bike racks; no motors, child carriers, baskets ,or other bulky bicycle attachments can be accommodated.
  • Have your bike ready to go at the bus stop by removing any water bottles, pumps or other accessories that could fall off during transit.
  • When you reach your stop, remind the driver you will be retrieving your bike from the rack. After removing your bike from the rack, return to the curb with your bike and wave to the driver that it is safe for them to proceed.
