Catching the Bus

- THE Bus
will stop for you. If you are waiting at a Bus Stop or
anywhere else along the Bus Route, stand facing the Bus
and signal the driver as he approaches. Please Note: the
Bus will only stop where it is safe to stop. "Farside"
(just after an intersection) stops are preferred.
- Have your
fare ready before you board the bus.
- Have
correct change - THE Bus operators do not carry change
- Enter THE
Bus through the forward door (the rear door is used for
wheelchair/scooter passengers only)
- Please
take your seat promptly once you've paid your fare
- Please do
not block the aisles or take over more than one seat
- Don't
eat, drink, or smoke on the bus. Please keep THE Bus clean
for everyone.
- No open
containers of food or drink allowed on THE Bus.
- No radio
or recorded music playing without headphones
- No
animals allowed, other than trained service animals
- Passengers
should dress properly (shirts and shoes are required) to
ride the bus.
- Do not
bring firearms on any bus

Bikes
on THE Bus

THE Bus
provides bike racks on it's buses.
Anyone who plans to travel on THE Bus with
their bike must first obtain a Bike Permit ( call 754-4444
for more information).
The bike
racks, have a two bike capacity, and are located on the front of
the bus. Riders are responsible for properly loading and
unloading their bicycle, and do so at their own risk.
- Safety
First. When you are loading/unloading your bike, never step
to the street side of the bus.
- Due to
weight and space limitations on the bike racks; no motors,
child carriers, baskets ,or other bulky bicycle attachments
can be accommodated.
- Have your
bike ready to go at the bus stop by removing any water
bottles, pumps or other accessories that could fall off
during transit.
- When you
reach your stop, remind the driver you will be retrieving
your bike from the rack. After removing your bike from the
rack, return to the curb with your bike and wave to the
driver that it is safe for them to proceed.

Disabled
Access

THE Bus is
equipped with a wheelchair lift, and there is tie-down space for
2 wheelchair/scooter passengers on each bus. Wheelchair/Scooter
passengers board the bus at the rear door with the assistance of
the bus driver.

Lost
& Found

If you lost
something on THE Bus, call 352-754-4444 and ask if the
item has been turned in. If it has, you can pick up your lost
item at TransHernando, 1122
Ponce de Leon Blvd, Brooksville, FL
(weekdays 9am-5pm).
If you find
something on The Bus, please give it to the driver.
